Managing Director

Bharat Kumar K.V.S, M.Sc (Tech) Geophysics, Pre PhD.

Mr.Bharat Kumar envisioned to start a company wholly dedicated to the field of earth sciences in the 'City of Destiny' Visakhapatnam around a decade ago. This became a reality when 'Geosense Surveys' was launched in January 2009.

Prior to inception of Geosense surveys he had worked in Geo Marine Dynamics (I) Pvt. Ltd., Visakhapatnam, India, as Head of Geo Marine and Met Ocean Division till December 2008.

He started his career as a research fellow in 1994 for his Pre-PhD and as a part of his research curriculum, has carried out field investigations over the Eastern Ghat region on behalf of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India.

In his career, he worked for many reputed organizations in abroad and India such as Southern Gulf Surveys, Abu Dhabi, UAE., Coastal Marine Construction and Engineering (COMACOE), Mumbai, India, L & T Hoctief JV in Project Seabird, Karwar, India, Sea Geo Surveys Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai, India & Fugro Geonics India Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai,India.

Executive Director

Apparao V.V., M.Sc Marine Geophysics

Mr. V.V.Apparao had always aimed Visakhapatnam as a potential place for his career growth and settlement. With this in view Mr. V.V.Apparao joined as Marine Geophysicist in Geomarine Dynamics (I) Pvt. Ltd., Visakhapatnam. In the course of time he was associated with Mr. Bharat Kumar, Senior Geophysicist and he felt that his dreams could be realized in a better way by becoming a part of Geosense Surveys and joined as an executive partner. His motive is to see Geosense Surveys evolve as a premier data processing organisation related to earth sciences.

Mr.V.V.Apparao started his career as a Junior Geophysicist in Indomer Coastal Hydraulics Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, India, since May 2004. In his career spanning four years he became a Deputy Manager to lead many projects. He evolved from Junior Geophysicist to Senior Geophysicist, and finally to the level of Deputy Manager, by his sheer hard work, integrity and technical skills in trouble shooting of equipment, and data processing and interpretation.

Due to his allegiance to the city of Visakhapatnam and family commitments, Mr.V.V.Apparao left Indomer and served in Geo Marine Dynamics (I) Pvt. Ltd., as Marine Geophysicist from June 2008 to Dec 2008.

Hydrographic Surveyor

Sukumar Das , (IN) Retd., Certification course in Hydrographic surveying

Mr. Sukumar Das had joined Indian Navy in 1985 and worked in various Civil/defence projects Hydro graphic/Land surveys for 12 years till 1991. Mr. Sukumar Das left the Navy in 1997 and worked with various survey and construction companies in India and abroad. His last assignment prior to joining Geosense Surveys was Sub-sea pipe laying in Reliance KG D-6 Gas Field Development project – Kakinada, East Coast of India while working with Allseas.

Mr. Sukumar Das is having sound knowledge of overall surveying operation and experienced in Hydrographic surveying. He also has working knowledge of geophysical, met-oceanographic surveys. He has additional skills in the field like monitoring daily dredging progress, plan operations for dredging of back hoe and trailing suction dredgers, precise positioning of dredge arm/bucket, and man and material management co-related with hydrographic/dredging work.

Naveen Kumar, B.E.in Electronics & Communication

Mr. Naveen Kumar has experience as system engineer for the past three years. During his three years experience, he worked in many offshore and near shore projects in India and abroad. His interest lies in troubleshooting of survey equipment, checking the system intergrity and hydrography.

Mr. Naveen Kumar has reputable competency in handling in operating and maintenance of Multibeam (GEOSWATHE), RESON 8101 Multibeam Ranger USBL, Sub Bottom Profiler, VSP with Hydrophones, Pinger, Digital Side Scan Geoacoustics, Coda DA-2000, Echo sounder MK-II, MK-III, Graphic Recorders, Gravity corer, etc.
